This is where we can explain to one another (and ourselves) why we commute. Post your compelling thoughts and images or browse through those of others.

You can also share some tips on enhancing the commute by recommending books , cd titles, recipes, wines or anything else that you think is helpful.

From one suburbia to another and back again. I see that part of the message I left 6 years ago is still posted. For those who remember me I'm back in CT and will occasionally be riding METRO-NORTH gain. I just moved to Bristol where we also just opened an office. Anyway over the last 6 years a lot has happend, no I never did get married, but I'm a grandfather. My son made it back from Irag after a stint in the Marines, my youngest daughter is graduating from college on 5/22. Hope to see some of you soon and I hope all are well.

Best,
John

PS Can we smoke again yet?

After 20 years working in a suburban school district and living in suburbia I'm back on the
train to Penn Sta. again. 1 and 1 half hours of bliss, each way, every day. Let's hear it for pizza, beer and lemon italian ices. My favorite dinner before I get home to a cold dinner.

Chardonnay from Australia..................... a safe and easy

price.........................don't pay more than 6.99...................the

red.....................also easy...................Cline Zinfandel from Napa
CA. the 1997 is drinking fine..................about $ 7.99
..............................one step up you say........................when
it's 49-0 and the score is all too obvious...................well the wino
hubbies will need a sweet Alsace type wine....................try Hogue
Johannesburg Riesling .................the 1996 got a Wine Spectator
90......................or the Columbia Crest Gewurztraminer for Washington
State.....................................a bit sweet................ but at
4pm with hours to go....................and the game in
limbo..................it will wet the appetite.................... as if the
crowd will need encouragement....................and the better
red........................Marietta Bin 22 or 23 from Geyersville, CA ($12-13
a bottle) or a Ravenswood Zinfandel.................the Vintner's Blend starts
at about $9 a bottle..........................the single vineyards can reach
$25-30......................but if you get there........................try
the Ridge blends.....................ta ta..................and don't forget
the 1994 port............................

Happy Holidays!!!
